As some of you know, I've been working on this for some time in the "back room," but have had various issues with wonderful ingredients that smell bad or have a funny color...not destined for prime time! I have been working for a few months with a lab in California that uses the best manufacturing practices and is regularly inspected by the FDA. Together we have come up with several products that I think you will be pleased with.

Cutting Edge Products
They are cutting edge, and can be used by themselves, in combination with each other, and to enhance the effects of our office laser treatments.

You all know the story of Retin A. It was approved for acne many years ago, and it was noticed that it improved wrinkles also. This is due to special receptors for "retinoids" (vitamin A type substances) on your skin cells that makes them healthier and able to produce more collagen when vitamin A is attached to them. You are probably also aware of the vitamin C story. Vitamin C is also very good for your skin, both as an antioxidant to protect skin cells from damage, and for producing collagen. The early vitamin C products were not stable and turned brown with time. These problems have now been overcome. We are offering a new vitamin A (retinol) and vitamin C combination in a nice light lotion base. It won't be as irritating as Retin A, and I think that it will deliver similar benefits. It's a great combination for your skin!

Growth Factor Complex
Even more exciting is the recent availability of human epidermal growth factors. These substances can be produced using cells or bacteria, and are the same as what our skin normally produces to stay healthy and heal wounds. They are expensive, but can be very effective for wrinkles and skin tone and texture when used in topical creams and gels. The first one out was made by Skin Medica and is called TNS. We have been selling this in our office since it came out because we have felt that growth factors were the wave of the future. Since then only a few companies have incorporated growth factor technology into their products, and ours is one of the first! We have come up with a mix of three growth factors that hasn't been used before that we call "growth factor complex." We think that this will be very effective, and pleasant to use. It is unscented and not objectionable in any way. Try it!

Keep it Simple
I have wanted to keep things simple, so simply using the above two products is all you really have to do. The growth factors can go on morning and night on the whole face and around the eyes, with make-up over it in the morning, and with the retinol and vitamin C lotion underneath it at night. They come in a beautiful clear gel preparation, or a cream if you want more moisturizing. The gel may work better under make-up. I chose to package them both in an elegant "airless pump" because it prevents air from getting in and degrading the growth factors.

We also have two cleansers, one for oilier skin and one for drier. There is also an eye cream that can go on top of the growth factors which can be used right up to the eyelash line, which has peptides (Strivectin is made with peptides), alpha lipoic acid and white tea, a strong antioxidant.

It is fine to use part of the line or the whole thing. If you have a cleanser you like already, that's fine. I personally use the Kirklandlaser Intensive Renewal Face Wash with the Clarisonic Skin Care Brush, but we also offer excellent washable microfiber washcloths that do a great job of cleaning makeup from your skin and pores.

You are now on 120th Ave. Follow 120th up the hill (past Trader Joe's). Go through light at 128th and then turn into the 2nd driveway on the left. Going North on I-405:

Take exit 20B (NE 124th St/Totem Lake Blvd). Stay in the right lane towards Totem Lake Blvd. and go under the freeway, proceed through the stoplight onto 120th Ave NE. Follow 120th Ave up the hill (past Trader Joe's). Go through light at 128th and then turn into the 2nd driveway on the left. We are in the Evergreen Professional Plaza between 128th and 130th lane. Be sure to allow sufficient travel time as this is a high traffic area and there is often construction going on nearby at Evergreen Hospital.
