What is Omnilux•Blue?
Omnilux•Blue is an exciting new treatment for acne. In June 2003, the FDA cleared Omnilux•Blue as a safe and efficacious, pain-free, non-invasive treatment for acne. There are no known side effects.

How does Omnilux•Blue work?
When you go out into the sun your acne improves. It has been discovered that it is not the harmful ultraviolet rays, but rather the harmless blue light rays, that do the work and kill the acne bacteria. Since finding this out several years ago, some of us have been working with blue light.

What is different about the Omnilux•Blue?
The Omnilux•Blue is about five times more powerful than the units that have been available for some time. We have been using a weaker fluorescent unit called the Blu U for the past few years. This has now become available in some spas and health clubs. The Blu U delivers 10 energy units called joules in a 16-minute treatment.

The Omnilux•Blue delivers 48 joules in a 20-minute treatment, or about 5 times as much energy per treatment.

What actually happens during the treatment? Is it painful?
A typical Omnilux_Blue treatment session takes 20 minutes. You can relax comfortably on a table during the light application. Protective eyewear is provided. There may be a slight warm sensation during treatment. Omnilux•Blue treatment is easy and painless.

What Results can I expect from a series of treatments?
Omnilux•Blue can clear most moderate inflammatory acne in as few as 8 treatment sessions (twice a week for 4 weeks). In our experience so far, the Omnilux•Blue is capable of making a difference in acne within one or two treatments. With the recommended treatment plan, although we may not see 100% improvement, there should be a substantial decrease in new pimples appearing.
