FotoFacialRF™ Treatments

A non-invasive method to rejuvenate and improve skin quality with no recovery time

Thermage at the Laser Treatment Center in Kirkland What is it?
With advances in technology, it is exciting to find that improvements in appearance, once only experienced by having major surgery, can now be achieved using non-surgical methods. We are pleased to announce the FotofacialRF laser, a non-invasive method to rejuvenate and improve skin quality with no recovery time.

FotofacialRF Treatments are full face, neck and/or chest treatments, using a combination of pulses of visible light and radio frequency energy that effectively improve facial redness and flushing as well as the visible signs of sun damage, wrinkles and skin laxity.

A series of five - half hour treatments are performed at three-week intervals, taking approximately three months to complete. Each patient is assessed to determine the most effective settings to maximize improvement.

The procedure is nearly painless so it can be done after simply applying a topical numbing cream. Best of all, since it does not remove your skin, there is no downtime for healing; simply apply makeup and go back to work. The effects you may experience are redness and mild, short-term swelling with only occasional minor bruising.

Benefits of Treatment

  • Improve rosacea breakouts and reduce facial flushing
  • Reduce fine wrinkling and freckling from sun damage
  • Smooth skin and reduce appearance of pore size
  • Reduce irregular pigment and enhance skin tone
  • What to expect
Each treatment takes approximately 30 minutes. During the procedure a mild amount of discomfort can be expected. People with more sensitive skin may prefer to use a topical anesthetic cream before treatment. Immediately following a treatment the skin may appear red and flushed and tiny capillaries may appear more visible. Freckling generally appears darker. All of these effects gradually fade over a period of hours to a few days.

Additional benefit can be seen by combining the FotofacialRF treatments with Botox® to relax the lines of facial expression and/or Restylane for replacing collagen lost in the aging process in lines, folds and wrinkles.

    Results
You can expect to see a gradual decrease in overall redness, flushing and dilated capillaries. People with visible aging from the sun can expect to see their skin become smoother with a decrease in fine wrinkles, smaller appearing pores and fading of freckles. Many people with rosacea see an improvement in breakouts and are able to decrease their medications. After your first treatment, your skin will feel smoother and will have a more even tone. These improvements are gradual and will be more visible after each treatment. Five treatments are recommended for optimal results, though some patients will benefit from a few additional treatments.

Additional benefit can be seen by combining the FotofacialRF treatments with Botox® to relax the lines of facial expression and/or Restylane for replacing collagen lost in the aging process in lines, folds and wrinkles.
