How does Thermage® work?
The top layers of your skin are protected with a cooling spray while radiofrequency energy heats the collagen in the lower layers.
This heating action causes deep structures of your skin to tighten immediately. Over time, new collagen grows to further tighten your skin and produce a more youthful appearance.
How safe is it?
The Thermage procedure is very safe. Although it is possible that skin damage can occur, this advanced treatment has been studied carefully in hundreds of patients with minimal reports of lasting adverse effects
What does a Thermage Procedure feel like?
With each touch of the Thermage treatment tip, you will experience a brief intense heating sensation as the collagen in deep layers of your skin is tightened. To protect your skin and make the treatment more comfortable, a cooling spray is delivered before, during, and after each application of the treatment tip.
When can I return to my normal activities?
You may return to your normal activities immediately, as there is usually no "downtime". Minimal redness is seen in some patients but it usually disappears shortly after treatment. There can also be a bit of temporary swelling. There is no special care needed after treatment. As a part of good skin care, sunscreen is recommended.
How many treatments will I need?
A single treatment has produced good results in a significant number of patients. However, your doctor will assess the number and frequency of treatments required to achieve optimal results for your skin. In most patients, results appear gradually over 2-6 months. Although some patients see an earlier response, we usually wait until 6 months to assess the need for a second treatment.
How long will the effects of the Thermage procedure last?
Recently published studies show that improvements continue for at least six months after a single treatment session. Other studies show that thermal collagen changes can last several years, depending on the rate of the aging process.

What is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is the practice of using tiny injections of medications and nutrients into the skin and upper layer of fatty tissue to increase the release of fat and decrease the storage of fat. The injected areas may be on the face, such as lower eyelids, or underneath the chin; or on the body, such as the abdomen, hips or thighs. This process can improve the appearance in these specific areas of the body. Smaller areas may be effectively treated in one or two treatments, while the effect of Mesotherapy in large areas is typically noticed after 4-8 treatments. Usually there is one treatment every 2-3 weeks until the desired benefit is achieved. Mesotherapy can also improve the appearance of cellulite by increasing blood flow to the area and removing hardened connective tissue septae.
Am I a Candidate for Mesotherapy?
Even very fit people may have small areas of fat that bother them. These areas can be easily treated with Mesotherapy. If you have diabetes or are on beta blockers, you are not a candidate for this treatment. This treatment is also not recommended for persons with a chronic illness. Please consult with your medical provider. Caffeine should be avoided for 24 hours before and after treatment and we recommend drinking eight glasses of water per day during treatment.
Is Mesotherapy Safe?
Mesotherapy has low allergic potential and is usually well tolerated. Common side effects include temporary bruising, swelling, itching, lumpiness and tenderness in the injected areas. Other adverse reactions may occur with any injectible substance, although this is not common.
What Happens After Treatment?
It may take several days for swelling and bruising to resolve. When larger body areas are treated, multiple treatments are required. It is important to have a healthy lifestyle if results of Mesotherapy are to be maintained. We offer counseling in diet, nutrition, fitness, and even hypnotherapy in our center to help patients achieve and maintain their desired appearance. We believe that overall good health is the real goal and we simply want you to look as good as you will feel when you reach it! Remember, whether you think you can or think you can't - you're right! Mesotherapy is not a cure and future treatments may be required. Every patient is different and as the degree of fat loss will vary from person to person, there can be no guarantee of results.

Take exit 20B (NE 124th St/Totem Lake Blvd). Stay in the right lane towards Totem Lake Blvd. and go under the freeway, proceed through the stoplight onto 120th Ave NE. Follow 120th Ave up the hill (past Trader Joe's). Go through light at 128th and then turn into the 2nd driveway on the left. We are in the Evergreen Professional Plaza between 128th and 130th lane. We are in Bldg G towards the rear of the parking lot, Suites 100 and 104.
Be sure to allow sufficient travel time as this is a high traffic area and there is often construction going on nearby at Evergreen Hospital.
