Laser Treatments are our Specialty
In 1977, after completing medical school at the University of Michigan and residency at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Cooperrider moved to the Northwest and opened his dermatology practice.
He enjoyed taking care of his patients' general dermatology concerns, and over the years became interested in the concept of keeping skin young and healthy looking. His interest in anti-aging led him to new laser and light technologies that were being developed.
We added Laser Treatment Center to our established dermatology practice in 1993, when lasers were first being introduced for treatment of the skin. Our mission has been to bring the latest laser technology from around the world to the Puget Sound region, helping to test and refine technologies, teach other doctors and give our patients the benefit of new treatments.
We have been very successful at finding the most effective up to date treatments, many of which you have seen on television and read about in magazines.
Currently we have many different lasers, intense pulsed light sources and other light treatments available in our facility. These are being used for:
- Facial Rejuvenation (Thermage, Fotofacial RF, Aurora, Polaris (new in 2004) (elos technology), CoolTouch™, Omnilux Red (new in 2004))
- Hair Removal (Lyra, Aurora, Comet (new in 2005))
- Tattoo Removal (Yag (new in 2004), ruby)
- Brown and Red Spot Removal
- Vein Treatment (Vasculite, IPL)
- Acne Treatment (Omnilux Blue (new in 2004)).
We are also very experienced with BOTOX® Cosmetic. In 2002 and 2003 we were the #1 BOTOX® Cosmetic provider in Western Washington.
Dr. Cooperrider and our physician assistants do many treatments to restore a young look around the mouth, lips and in other facial areas. We are currently using Collagen, Restylane and a new product called Sculptra.
One of our most popular treatments is called Mesotherapy for fat dissolving.
